(Jer. 6:16) We would like to help you to better understand these “ancient paths” and our Hebrew roots. We will endeavor to keep these pages current and invite you to visit often. Please feel free to contact us! Shalom!

EldersDoug & Carol Foster
Both Doug and Carol’s lives have always been centered around church, family, and ministry. Doug and Carol met at non-denominational church where they were both involved in multiple areas of ministry and actually met while both were in leadership of both a large singles ministry and the greeters’ ministry. After their marriage, they co-led led Divorce Recovery Workshops and small group Bible studies. Combined they have 3 children, 4 grandchildren and at the time of this writing 1 great-granddaughter. Previously, Douglas had been involved in Christian counseling, deliverance ministries and teaching others how to pray for deliverance and healing. Carol attended three years of Bible College and it was at this point that she began writing inductive Bible Studies. It was as Carol was developing a course on “Covenant” that they both realized that there was a piece missing from their experience and their understanding. It was at this time that they began to delve into the depths of the Tanakh and specifically the Torah, which led them to the Shiloh Messianic Congregation. Both Douglas and Carol serve as elders to the congregation as well as other areas of leadership. Douglas serves as Elder over the congregations Audio-Visual Ministry. Carol continues to write inductive Bible studies and both Douglas and Carol are deans over the Yeshiva Shiloh School of Theology.

EldersRuben & Sue Contreras
Ruben and Susan Contreras serve as Elders at Shiloh Messianic Congregation, which has been their home congregation for the past 20 years. In 2006, when Pastors Bruce and Kathleen received revelation from the Lord, which resonated with their spirit as well, Ruben and Susan were an integral part of the exciting journey of returning to the ancient paths and helped Shiloh to make the turn from a Sunday church to a Torah keeping Messianic Congregation. Congregational life is such a joy to Ruben and Susan. While Ruben teaches Shabbat School, heads up the Men’s Ministry, Ovedim (Ushers), and Maintenance Ministry, you will find Susan at work in the Nursery, overseeing the Intercessory Ministries and helping with the planning of the monthly Women’s Ministry Functions. In addition, together they encourage the Small Group Ministries and teach Torah studies. You can certainly see their life verses at work in their lives. Ruben’s life verse is the essence of his character. It is Micha 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God”. Susan began living out her life verse when she was so busy with her little children and the Lord impressed upon her to “just do what I put in front of you”. Her verse is Mathew 6:33 “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you”. With 8 adult children, they realize how imperative it is to raise up the next generation in the ways of the Lord. They continue to minister to the children of Shiloh, from nursery to high school. With their complementary spiritual gifts of serving and exhortation, they also share a passion to see God’s people set free and spurred on to be all that He created them to be. Ruben and Susan live in the beautiful mountain communities of Lake Arrowhead. With the flexibility of Susan having her own environmental consulting business and Ruben being retired, they relish spending time with their children, enjoy reading books or studying by the lake, kayaking, hiking and traveling when they can. Susan also likes to explore her creative side with party planning and decorating and enjoys gardening and creative cooking as Ruben catches up on sports and current events.
