At Shiloh Messianic Congregation we currently have 24 ministry departments with a department head leading each one. Each department has a number of ministries underneath it, each with a separate ministry leader and workers.
This list of ministries is not comprehensive in that it doesn’t list all the ministries, nor does it give a complete description of the ministries listed. It is intended to give you a brief overview of some of the opportunities here at Shiloh Messianic Congregation. At the membership class you will have the opportunity to examine the ministries at a more comprehensive level. There is something for everyone and we would like to invite you and your family to be involved.
Our children’s ministry would include children from nursery age up through 12 years of age. There are opportunities to serve as Shabbat teachers, special events and festival teachers and helpers, and crafts.
At Shiloh Messianic Congregation we have both junior high ministry and high school ministry. This offers a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy working with the youth.
All the women come together once a month in Calimesa to participate in the women’s ministry. This offers a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy working in women’s ministry.
Both locations, Crestline and Calimesa, have men’s ministry gatherings. This offers a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy working in men’s ministry.
‘Davidic’ worship and praise is one of the distinguishing traits of the Messianic Movement. By the term Davidic we are of course referring to the Hebraic form of music and the expressive dance that scripture attributes to both Miriam, the sister of Moshe and of course to David, the Psalmist. (Psalm 149:3) Davidic dancing is a physical expression of worship through the vehicle of corporate dance. Davidic dance is unique in that by its design God’s people dance in a united circle, expressing at once their oneness in Adonai and Adonai’s encompassing love of His people.
The scripture declares how good and how pleasant it is when brothers (and sisters) dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1) Davidic dance facilitates an expression of that oneness and unity. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to join the circle as we dance before the LORD in both reverence and great joy. Selah.
Moedim – Feasts and Festivals
At Shiloh Messianic Congregation we practice all the Biblical feasts and the festivals. These would include Sabbath, Purim, Pesach (Passover), Feast of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Shavuot, Sukkot, Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah and Rosh Chodesh (the new moon). As you can imagine the festivals are labor-intensive, and thus, offer a multitude of opportunities to serve.
Yeshiva – Messianic Bible School
Yeshiva Shiloh offers opportunities for learning (as a student), course development, teaching, audio and video work, marketing, and general administration.
